Manisha grew up in the UK where she studied Interior Design at the Inchbald School of Design and European Decorative Arts and Asian Arts at Sotheby's. Her studies also took her to Switzerland, before she started La Casa in 1994, while living in Tanzania. The interior decoration and furniture showroom was the first of its kind in Tanzania, blending carefully selected imported furniture, accessories and fabrics with East African themes.

Over the several years she spent in Tanzania, Manisha worked on a variety of projects for Tanzania's first five-star hotel, Sheraton / Movenpick, as well as the private residences of ambassadors and high commissioners stationed in Dar es Salaam.

Manisha returned to London in 2006, bringing La Casa with her, where she has since been creating interiors that are stylish, functional and an accurate reflection of the vision and personality of her clients. Manisha has worked with some of her clients for nearly ten years.

Manisha personally oversees projects, working with a team of trusted and insured building contractors to ensure works are completed on-time, within budget and to the highest standard. Ongoing Support is offered to clients after project completion if required.

La Casa provides the support and guidance needed to ensure clients are satisfied at every stage - from the first meeting through to completion. Manisha helps you to select finishes, products, materials, furniture and accessories whilst taking into consideration both practicalities and your preferences.

Testimonials

Chris in Knightsbridge

Many thanks Manisha for the curtains, pelmets, roman blinds and Motorised hardware for the roman blinds, re-upholstering of the swivel arm-chair.

It was helpful of you to accommodate my schedule and I appreciated your regular communication.

Mona in Maida Vale

I have worked with many designers in my life both in England and at my home in Bahrain. I must admit that  Manisha is by far the best.  She is sincere and dedicated to her clients.

Manisha helped me to renovate my flat in Maida Vale, the job  was changing the floor from carpet to parquet, full painting and changing the furniture of the bed rooms.  It was a big job because I was not living in London and Manisha took full charge of moving and protecting all the furniture before changing the floor.  She used to stay with the workers the whole time.

I am very happy with the result and recommend Manisha to any persons who wish to renovate their home.

Overseas client with Maida Vale property

Manisha was recommended to me by a friend of mine who  was very impressed with the re-decoration works in her flat. We needed our London flat to be completely re-decorated and furnished to the last spoon in the kitchen. All four bedrooms, four bathrooms have been completely transformed.

She Project managed the complete re-decoration of the family flat, working closely with contractors, the curtain maker, furniture manufacturers,

Manisha oversaw the installation of bespoke curtains, roman blinds, tracks, poles, bedcovers, scatter cushions, headboards, accessories, art works, antique chandeliers for all rooms.

She has our most sincere thanks for her effort, creativity, working within the budget and attention to detail throughout multiple projects over the last 9 years.

Manisha project managed the works in my whole flat very well and the end result was much better than expected. Since I live overseas, I had a few meetings with Manisha and works were completed as per my brief. She was in constant communication and emailing me photos of works in different stages.

I recommended Manisha to a friend of mine, who was also very satisfied with the redecoration of her London flat. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their home - from simple upholstering to a total re-decoration.
